Seems like wedding dresses are constantly changing in style. Have you ever felt frustrated shopping and not have found the perfect dress? Hopefully by reading this, I can give you some insight of what is hot off the runway.

New 2012 trends to look for:

Unique necklines: The “illusion neckline” seems to be very popular. More of a sheer and delicate fabric that is draped over your skin that may often be exposed.

Gown by Monique Lhuillier

Two tiered skirts: Designers love playing with hemlines which gave them the idea of creating two separate skirts. It’s also forgiving in the hip and thigh area. Good way to hide wider hips.

Gown by Anna Maier/Ulla-Maija Couture

Horsehair trim: Often found on the underskirt of a dress to create a cleaner and crisp hemline.

Gown by Rivini

Lace sleeves: Of course our favorite Duchess last April. The lace sleeves give a nice sleek and classic look.

Gown by Legends by Ramona Keveza

More trends to look out for: ( Inspired by the red carpet)

Front slits

Deep plunging necklines

Lots of sparkle

What do you get when you combine a cool couple, a riverside backyard paradise, and an A-Team of vendors?  You get one awesome wedding day.  Morgan and Todd’s day began with a ceremony at  St. Francis Church in Sacramento, where guests were surrounded by the church’s gorgeous interior and serenaded by the harp and flute music of Music a Due.  Following the ceremony, guests were shuttled by Universal Transportation to a private estate right on the banks of the river.  Talk about beautiful – the reception was held on the property’s huge lawn which was covered with old oak trees and looked out on views of the river which were absolutely breathtaking as the sun went down.  The best part about being on water?  Morgan and Todd were able to make their grand entrance into the reception by boat!  After the excitement of their arrival, Morgan and Todd and their guests enjoyed a scrumptious, family-style meal provided by the Culinary Specialists and two unique cakes by Village Cake.  Then it was on to dancing, where the oh-so-talented Matt Brys of Extreme Productions DJs got the party started.  Wonderful Beth Baugher of True Love Photography was there to document the entire day and she caught some really great shots (which you can check out below!).  This was a great group of people, a great couple, and a truly wonderful day – Congratulations Morgan and Todd!!

We were so excited to learn recently that one of our former couples is expecting a baby girl!  Jen and Michael were married in 2007 at the Library Galleria in Sacramento.  Theirs was an elegant, classic winter wedding with a silver, black, and red color theme.  Both of them looked incredible and Michael could really cut a rug!  They are a couple of such warmth and beauty, and we are so happy to hear that they are about to begin a new chapter in life together.  Jen and Michael, we wish you and your daughter all the joy and blessings in the world and wonderful times to come!

Alright, this couple is just unfair.  They are beyond gorgeous together, they’re totally committed (they’ve been together for 8 years!), and the photos that Tinywater Photography captured of them are truly breathtaking.  We love the cool, urban feel of their engagement photos and the way Carla and Loren seem so blissful and at ease.  Check them out!

Awwwww!  Warm fuzzies all over!!  We are in the midst of wedding planning with Carla and Loren and we can’t wait to see their big day come together.  This stylish couple is getting married in Los Lagos and then heading over to Sacramento’s Elks Tower for their reception.  There, they’ll be pampered by a great team, including DJ Mike Regan, Accents by Sage Floral Design, Tinywater Photography, and, of course, yours truly!  It’s going to be a fabulous day!
