Maria and Eric: Married July 16, 2011

Just as the sun began to set and fill with golden light  the main corridor of the Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg, Ca. the awaiting crowd was introduced to Mr. and Mrs. Eric Bardet. The scene was set with candlelight accenting the gorgeous floral arrangements by La Martine and the mouthwatering spread put together by Jackson Catering, and delectable desserts by Sugar and Spice.

Later in the evening, the crowd was ready to hit the dance floor, and got their boogie on thanks to Premier Entertainment and there to turn moments into memories was the hard working Lisa and Geoff from The Goodness Photography.

It was a breathtaking evening and a picturesque couple, all the best Eric and Maria!

It is with a humble heart that we would like to address an unintentional oversight in a previous blog. *You can also find Redmond on YouTube, singing his original songs and parodies.

NACE goes green

In May, the Sacramento Chapter of the National Association of Catering Executives decided to turn its monthly meeting a little greener!

As members arrived to Beatnik Studios in downtown Sacramento to our monthly NACE meeting, they were greeted with a signature mojito cocktail and the music of Pamela Pamperin playing everyone’s favorite classic rock songs on the harp …yes the harp.

Once members had a chance to mingle and say hello they moved into the back area of the gallery at Beatnik, which had been beautifully decorated with sustainably and locally grown flowers from Ambiance Floral, tables and chairs made from recycled and reclaimed materials thanks to Classic Party Rentals, and Catrina Maria Designs.

A mouth-watering meal was prepared by Chris Jackson Catering who also showed us how you can green your catering, using bamboo serving dishes, and flatware, and ensuring the food is locally and organically grown. Desert for the evening was artfully prepared by Sugar and Spice Specialty deserts who also showed us their greener side by using milk and butter from a local dairy, and serving their treats in glass instead of disposable plastic.

Matt Brys from Extreme pro DJ‘s MC’d  the evening and Mike Greener from Greener Visuals photographed while contributing members gave presentations on their efforts to go green, and encouraging other members to take steps toward greening their businesses and homes. LED lighting, re-chargeable batteries, and even bio-diesel generators! No matter where you are, there is always a shade of green that will suit you!
